The merger between British Airways and Iberia was completed on January 24, 2011, when the two airlines merged to form International Airlines Group. The parent company is listed on the London Stock Exchange and the Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao and Valencia Stock Exchanges.
In 2012 IAG bought the British airline bmi. A number of its employees and aircraft moved over to British Airways. The same year IAG also purchased Spanish low-cost carrier Vueling. In 2015 IAG bought Irish airline Aer Lingus, which now operates as the fourth airline in the group.
