Tom Stoddart is the Chief Officer, Flight Ops & Subsidiary Airlines.
Tom joined British Airways in 2000 as a 737 pilot, training at the Oxford Aviation Academy as a member of the British Airways Cadetship Scheme. Tom spent a number of years as a trade union representative, before moving fleets to 747. In 2007 Tom took his first managerial role as a Flight Crew Duty Manager, the first of many several managerial roles in Flight Operations. Tom returned to 737 in 2010 where he became a Captain and TRI/TRE on the 737, and the Chief Pilot from 2013.
In 2014 Tom assumed responsibility for all operations at Gatwick, founding GGS in 2016. After a year in New York, leading our JFK terminal changes, Tom returned to the UK as the CEO of London City Airport-based BA Cityflyer in 2018.
In April 2022, he led the project to start a new airline BA Euroflyer, a brand new London Gatwick-based subsidiary of British Airways, which operates to more than 40 short-haul destinations. Tom is the CEO of Euroflyer, but can also be found in the flight deck as he continues to operate occasionally as an Airbus pilot from London Gatwick.
